The amazing effects of music!
New findings reinforce the need for all children to have the right to access music!
A newly released research report, Sounds of Intent in the Early Years, indicates that music sessions can help children in the early years from areas of high deprivation improve their ability to manage their feelings, modify behaviour and enhance their ability to listen and maintain concentration while also boosting self-confidence.
This short synopsis of the report outlines the key findings in easy to understand terms, with the essential outcome being that music is changing the lives of young children! As stated in the synopsis, this report should be of importance to anyone providing music to young children, both with and without special educational needs and disabilities.
